Marine AIS - The good and the bad
We decided to do a collaboration video on a topic that we found baffling and that was choosing our AIS. There were just so many choices that it was difficult to decide which one to go for. In the...Prepare for the worst
One of the items in the Yachtmaster syllabus is "Preparing yacht for sea and for adverse weather" so Beverley and I decided to chat about that and how we always prepare Salty Lass for storms even...Lockdown is our "Situation Normal"
A news paper man from Liverpool I know asked for our views on Lockdown, so this is what we wrote. Not getting paid as yet but a little bit more publicity for our channel. Link to article . If...Clever Autopilot can follow a track
Well we found out that we can do more with our Auto pilot, we can get it to follow a track so that should be really useful. We even get the opportunity to get some drone footage in and that is...Marine autopilot installation
One of our Newsletter followers requested a video on our Autopilot installation, which we had done last year. With the only other footage being a whole load of what can only be called wee jobs then...Winding the boat

Well we might be stuck in Carrickfergus, but the weather has been beautiful, so we went out with the camera to take pictures of the town, the castle and the marina. ...Mysterious gifts
We found a whole load of goodies up in the cockpit from one of our subscribers so we set to making good use of what we found. I was waking back from the marina offices when I found a hole load of...Our watermaker
We heard the high pressure pump go off unexpectedly, and the last time that happened we had lots of water in the bilge, so it was time to investigate. You can tell that Beverley and I do not...High Wind Sailing
We were cleaning up our cameras when Beverley found some lost footage from one of our Autumn sails, so we decided that this was what we would focus on this week Keeping up do date With all the...
Raising money for the RNLI
The RNLI turned 200 years old on 4th March 2024. So as sailors and people who promote the joy of sailing, we thought that we would like to raise just £200. What we hope is that other people take up the shout and raise their own £200. In the last 200 years the RNLI have saved over 144,000 lives and yet they are funded entirely by people like you. They are not government funded.
