Northern Ireland

When it comes to cruising there are some deals to be made in Northern Ireland with many of the marinas being run by councils where they encourage you to stay two nights by giving you the second night free after you have paid for the first.

Are the batteries dead? Or "just resting"?

As soon as we got back to Belfast I was away to visit my parents for a short while, so Beverley was the one that moved Salty Lass from Abercorn Basin to Bangor. To do so she enlisted a guy who is...

Our last hoorah! No more sailing!

The weather was overcast, but there was no rain forecast so we decided to explore Islay, so we took the bus to Bowmore. Bowmore can be best described as a one street town with the circular church at...

A different day in Scotland and the weather was completely different. The day before we had too much wind, while on this day we had too little and what we did have was bang on our nose, so we...

On Sunday the beast from the East was raging so Beverley and I went out for a walk, just to create the introduction to this weeks video, as our odyssey into the past continues with more hard...
Raising money for the RNLI

The RNLI turned 200 years old on 4th March 2024. So as sailors and people who promote the joy of sailing, we thought that we would like to raise just £200. What we hope is that other people take up the shout and raise their own £200. In the last 200 years the RNLI have saved over 144,000 lives and yet they are funded entirely by people like you. They are not government funded.
