Our top tips for easier night sailing
At the moment in Bangor we have F10 and F9 storms coming through the night, with one night reaching F11. That was the first night that I did not get a good nights rest in over a year. Usually on...How to prepare for sailing at night
We managed to have a nice day, so Beverley flew the drone. The drone really gives a sense of place, where we are, with views across the Irish sea yo Scotland just on the horizon. So with the weather...Move 100 metres! Should of been easy...
Welcome to 2023, Beverley's mind was not switched on, but the year was only 12 hours old, so I think we will forgive her. The 1st January was a very calm day, so we decided to move Salty Lass just a...This is the cr*ppiest video we have ever made
We had left Port St. Mary and we were heading towards Northern Ireland. The winds were so light we were having to motor. We did try and sail, but the Genoa was in, then out so often that I joked...Yachting can drive you up the wall

We were in Arklow and after a days rest, sailing can really take it out of you, it was time to plan our departure over to Caernarfon bar. When, Beverley and I are looking at passages there are...Masterclass: How NOT to gybe your sailboat

Raising money for the RNLI
The RNLI turned 200 years old on 4th March 2024. So as sailors and people who promote the joy of sailing, we thought that we would like to raise just £200. What we hope is that other people take up the shout and raise their own £200. In the last 200 years the RNLI have saved over 144,000 lives and yet they are funded entirely by people like you. They are not government funded.
